Would it be possible (or does it exist)?

I would love a piece of software that would allow me to mouse-over or right click an image and have it show the embedded EXIF data. Some hosting sites, like PBase, will extract and show the EXIF for photos hosted there, but it would be really useful to just click "show exif" on the forum images and have it displayed on my screen. Is it possible, or does it exist anywhere????

The EXIF info is almost always stripped when posting to the web - though it really depends on how the person converted it. But EXIF info can add considerably to the size of the image, so most programs that understand EXIF will strip it out when saving for the web.

EXACTLY. Very nice! :D

Your color is amazing. Is there an easy trick to get that much beautiful saturation?

Try this handy tool - Opanda IExif V2.0

You can view the Exif/GPS/IPTC information in IE by right-clicking over the image. Of course, you can do the same thing for image files in PC hard disk. If you are using Mozilla Firefox, you can install an extension to use it in firefox.

Download the main program:
http://www.opanda.com/en/iexif/download.htm (http://www.opanda.com/en/iexif/download.htm)

Download the extension file for Firefox:

I have Opanda installed.. (in FireFox) with the extension,.. thus far it has never shown me any EXIF in any online image.. when I right click and select it.. NOTHING happens.

Does anyone know if this means the images have no EXIF,. or do I have a faulty installation?

Thanks.

Does anything pop up at all, like an error? It shows infomation for alot of the pics here but doesn't seem to work on attachments.

No pop up at all,. zip nada...

Is my popup blocking stopping it (that would be pretty silly)

And yet, If I click on an image like an avatar on this forum.. a pop up does come up telling me "no EXIF avaible for this type of image"

So something works when there is no exif.. but if I try images in my own gallery for instance.. no pop up.. nothing at all.

CDS, most people strip EXIF before they post, I know I do. I have had it report exif info sometimes in the photo sharing forum.
