Converting TIFF to JPG

How would I go about coverting my 16 bit TIFF to a JPG file? I'm using photoshop CS on a mac.

Image... Mode... 8 bits per channel
(If it's no already...) Image... Mode... Convert to Profile... sRGB
File... Save As... JPG
Use Quality 12 for max quality
Most people can't the difference between 10 and 12, and 10 will save a little disk space, but I really recommend 12 since it will keep the best possible quality.

If you're doing this for a web-sized image, do File... Save For Web instead of saving as JPG.

Scottes already explained how, but didn't explain one thing: JPEG does not support 16 bit per channel images, only 8 bit, so you have to convert to 8 bit to be able to save it as JPEG.
