I love taking pictures of these little guys. These were taken with my 50mm and a Kenko extention tube.

hmmm could have more detail were you the closest you could get??

monkey_wrench, cropped out at 100% you can see the individual grains of pollen on the yellow flower, and the goo on the stamiens of the violet... I reduced the size considerably for web, but I wasn't as close as I could get. Without a lot of light the DOF justs gets to shallow and I don't like the look, so I backed off and used less extention.

sparker1, thanks for the comment. I saw your wildflower shots just a little while ago. Great Trillium shots. The trilliums up here are just about to peak and I still haven't been able to get out to them when the sun was out.
