Went to the French Open this year. Took these with the Sigma 70-300 APO DG Macro. Comments appreciated.

#1 is lacking action/emotion

#2 is a rather unflattering pose

In each case, getting the ball into the photo would help bring more excitement and of course shooting from down lower might be helpful (although this comment is unhelpful as that would obviously not be possible at the french open)

anyways, I hope you enjoyed the event and just keep on shooting!

I think you should experiment with different crops and see what that does for you.
