I am currently managing a project that has over 30+ people working in small confines of office meeting rooms and cubicles with computers, furniture and other stuff around them.

My director has asked me to take 'official photographs' of the project for internal marketing purposes.

What tips can you provide to take near professional photographs in confined some-what cluttered environment? Any tips such as:

- lens to use
- flash use
- style
- approach
- staged vs candid
- etc.

Thanks.

definitely watch out for your white balance. Most offices use flourescent lighting. Horrible greenish cast to things.

Are studio lights an option for you? Studio lights would provide a lot of options for lighting varied areas, also adding a modifier (i.e. soft box) you can keep the light soft and where you want it. Though you can also get some great shots if the office is well lit (preferably natural light) with a fast lens. That method would also allow you to keep certain aspects/people in focus and blur the cluttered surroundings out.

theres my .02 :)

Edit: Ditto on the white balance!

Wide angle--35mm or greater. Bounce flash with card or fill light. Candids. Shoot from lower angles and from high angles. My .02.
