Looks like part of a paver to me. Same sort of thing is used on highway construction I believe.

As far as I've heard that's the plan although there's been talk of replacing barlow with a tunnel dono if that'll happen or not, regardless nothing will happen there for a year or so.

This was taken on the other side of the airport just up the hill from deerfoot mall.

thanks for the comments guys! I also like the first one better, I think i like the orange on the paver and the more menacing look to the clouds
