Was wondering if anyone can post a picture of a 20D with a battery grip and a white zoom lens (70-200mm f/4L) or similar.
How does this combo feel walking around?
Can you shoot for 30 mins - 1 hour at a time?
TIA

The real credit goes to the lens developer, Belmondo :p
For real info check out this site (http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-EF-70-200mm-f-2.8-L-IS-USM-Lens-Review.aspx). There are no cameras but there are several lenses side by side. Hope this helps.

Here... Um I find this lens fine with the tripod collar taken off, the grip makes it alot easyer to hold. I don't like it hanging around my kneck for long periods though.

I posted this picture a while ago when someone else asked the same question. It's my 20D with grip and 70-200 f/4L:

Edit: Oops, I'm sorry. That's without the grip...

I don't have any problems carrying my 20d, grip and 70-200 2.8. I shoot a lot of concerts and I carry and shoot with combo for couple of hours with no issues. It is heavy, but not unbearable.

Here's goofy me with a 20D / white lens. I always hand carry my 100-400 no problem with grip, but not this one :)

That's a good pose with the 12-ounce Heineken.
Let's keep our priorities straight!

I wondered the same thing.
He's got the camera-end unattached (dangling on far side of tripod) with the flash end connected to the camera's hotshoe. The flash won't work since there's only plastic at the bottom of the Cord-2 on the flash end.

Awesome photos guys.
Appreciate it. Now where's my Heineken!

Its just all my junk sitting there before I got a bag. The off shoe cord should have a hot shoe conector thing ontop of it so you can mount the flash instead of just let it dangle if your not using a bracket.

There should be a flat platform on that lens so you can put the Heineken on it when taking a shot. :D

Yeah that is the first thing I spotted. I have one of those cables, and from my understanding the flash wouldn't work unless it is connected to a slave, and why would you do that?
EDIT: you can actually see the other end hanging under the tripod, that flash is going no-where!

You camera guys are so nit picky, but I guess not nit picky enough to notice I already posted up explaining why that was there like that. The first night I had the cam the bag I wanted was not in, so I took it home anyways and just set it up on the tripod and put a t shirt over it. the cord is on it like that just to keep everythign together, if it was set up to function the flash would be dangling. You can now go back to arguing about resolution or circles of confusion.

I just did 4 days at the Tour de Georgia with no problems at all. I have the 70-200L, but I do not have the grip yet as I just purchased the camera two weeks ago. I tried to get it locally during the race, but none of the local stores had any in stock. I was goint to order one until I read about the problems with the grip. I will wait for them to be fixed.
