I think why I love shooting digital is the post processing capabilities. Photoshop has really become a must have in my camera bag.

I really like Photoshop as well but I have to say that, for me the Raw Conversion looks better...
Cheers...

Me too. I like the warmer tone of the middle shot. But she's precious in either. And yes, Photoshop is pretty amazing. The shadow/highlight tool in CS can be a lifesaver!

PS beats smelling fixer all day! I find that, since I started using RawShooter, I make fewer adjustments in PS than I used to. PS has become more of a "Creative" tool, than a necessary one.

Ya, when shooting RAW you can fix so much without ever haveing to hit a photo editor, it's quite nice, worth the extra space on the CF card (not to mention you get all 12-bits of goodness that you can archive in loseless compression).

Todd, I wonder if you may have the working space or another part of color management "off" in Photoshop? To my ees on my screen the second image looks more natural as well.

It is, the last one was just what I was going for. I wanted to go a little desaturated and add more depth to the image. I like them both, but I've just been experimenting with different layer blending options in PS. It's true that the second one is more natural, as it should be because there isn't really any PS done to it, but the third one seems to pop a little more for me.

I too love the 'natural' middle one, but I do get what you were going for in the thrid. Her eyes do blaze right off the screen quite a bit more in the thrid and really draw your eyes into hers and what a cute face she has. I'll have to try out that desity trick for sure!! Good stuff!
