Ok now my question is here: Do you have to have a Showit website in order to create those slidshows with ShowitWeb??? Or can you create and save them on your computer for various clients??

ShowItWeb is designed to show slideshows on the web. Any website at all, i've done it on my Wordpress Blog.

Sure you can, just put the required html/video files on the cd. However if you're doing that ProshowGold would be a better tool for the job, since it can make web shows, exe shows, mpeg4 shows, dvds, etc. ShowIt is for making web shows, nothing else without using external tools or services.

I would use Proshow Gold for the DVDs, the Show it Web is really not the best quality when you set it up on a dvd and attempt to play it on a television. I have done that before with not so good results. Also there is a button that you can generate that you select the markup for, that allows the user to purchase a dvd version, high quality, from david's website. much better quality, you mark it up to whatever price you want to.
