Here are my first attempts to make some decent pictures. Drove up Glendora mountain road to pose my car. unfortunately some potheads came and parked next to me so the first one was rushed. Excuse the trash.

It was fun getting the care to barely make it up the windy updill roads, with its 40 horsepower and all.

I'm still a newb so please be gentile, I'm still tender. C & C welcome. Shot with a 500D 18-55mm

Thanks,

Yea, its mostly restored... It was bought off an 85 year old German couple, all records, paperwork and original. All I really needed to do was clean it up. All it needs is maybe to get the interior back to the original style interior and maybe a fresh paint job... But thats way down the road. I never thought it would be, but its a real head turner. Kids love it!

Awesome! In yesteryear I built a bug convertible model kit (Revell I think) and the body was molded in "Newport Green," almost that color! Mine ended up flat primer gray, lowered with Porsche alloys, but what did I know.

Nice location, it reminds me of the local (to me) mountains above Santa Barbara.

edit:
please be gentile.

I don't think I can help it... LOL! ;-)

Lol, I should edit that...

I think I know where you are talking about. Beautiful drive and scenery. More reason to go now that I got into photography. I've been looking for excuses to go on trips now. :D

Gorgeous little bug, love the first one, with the distant view, it puts everything into context.

I'd consider cloning out the bits of trash on the left?

Thanks Lesmac. I'm afraid I don't know how to clone. I assume its a photoshop feature?

Yes, it's the 'clone stamp' tool.

Easy to use, took less than 5 minutes to clean up.

Holy Shnikies! that was easy and effective. I have to play around more with Photoshop. Ive been spending most of my time in Aperture. Thanks Lesmac!

And PhotosGuy, Thanks for all the educational threads. Impressive work!

I like the shots, however, I wish that in #2 the car was facing the other way, as in, the car was backed into the location and the headlights were facing to the right of the frame.

I agree,

It was a small little turnout so I just parked along the burm, trying to be cautions of the speeding Ferraris and drifters. Its right by my house so I'll be going up more frequently to fool around and experiment.

You can do the same thing in Aperture 2. Type an "X" to bring up the retouch menu and use the clone tool.
