Fellow sufferers, those fiendish chaps from Canon have done it again....

Canon 10 x 42L IS WP (http://www.canon.co.uk/for_home/product_finder/binoculars/optical_image_stabilisation/10x42l_is_wp/index.asp)

Another "L" for the collection... :p

For a brief period of time, I owned two 100-400 L lenses. I always though it would have been lovely to put then together with some duct tape and turn them into a pair of binoculars (not).

Great! Just what I need...another heavy toy hanging from my neck to make me even shorter than I already am, not to mention adding further to the execessive curvature of my spine.

These binocs get just as insanely priced as our favorite lenses.. Didn't realize the Canon's went that high as well.. but just looking at the Leica, Zeis, Steiner, Kahles and Swaravski's....

Perhaps with a pink pool noodle in the middle as a pivot point for adjusting to different facial widths and to hold a focusing knob?

Great, binoculars that require batteries.

Actually now that they are powered, I wonder when they will include USM and Autofocus?
