An interesting angle. I like the picture but the one streak of red is distracting
why 60 seconds on f22 and ISO 200? I dont really understand what pushing the shutter speed achieves. In 60 seconds only one car passed by?
Please explain.

Hey rich_yau, thanks for taking the time to comment.
Well i usually shoot at f5.6 - f7.1, thought i'd do a bit of experimenting and see if bumping up the f stop would have any bearing on the result, but with all of the objects past the inifinty, it didn't make much difference at all, except obviously having to prolong the exposure. ISO200, because i didn't want to have to wait 90 seconds hehe.
In terms of the car, it was late on a weeknight and it's a more quiet part of town.

You have a 20 d. Why not use iso 1600 or at least 800? and stand there for 7.5 or 15 seconds??
With post processing, and 8mp the added noise is negligible

Don't really like post processing, call me a purist but i like getting it right in the camera and doing as little post processing as possible.

I try not to use noise reduction, if i can help i try to get it right in the camera. :D
Of course there are times that you'd rather get the shot and worry about it later, but if you have time then you might as well do it properly then having to fix it later.

Great wide angle on the first shot. Sometimes shots like this look as though too much is being crammed into the frame... not here, you've done a great job.

Alan, i know what you mean, i was tossing up whether to include the traffic or not, but i thought it gave a nice juxtaposition, i.e A holy and tranquial place in the midst of urban sprawl. :)
