Thanks for the links.
Tramm Hudson, author of the software talks about it here.

Folks might want to be aware that this is not a Canon software but rather a third party Beta(read untested by the general public) software.
It's probably a good idea that you have some knowledge of programming if you decide to try to run this software.
The interesting thing to me is that the video aspect of the 5DII is so popular that third party software is written at all.

i dont think a lot of photographers realize how popular the camera is becoming among us filmmakers..
there are pretty substantial(backed up) rumors that a 24p firmware is being tested right now on on the iron man 2 production...not to mention the other recent features that used the camera...
i often see a lot of people here cut down the camera saying it isnt any better than a home camcorder, which is absolutely absurd considering the only digital camera right now that looks better, and only slightly, in digital footage...is the Red...and the 5D2 is still king of depth of field in the digital world thanks to our lovely canon lenses and full frame cmos...colors and contrast comparisons are all over the place, but i personally prefer the image quality of the 5D over the red..

Mike,
Good point on the 5D2 used for video.
To get another vid cam with the kind of sensor the 5D2 has would cost mega $$$.
I'm very impressed with video from this camera. And the shortcomings of the camera, such as sound seem to be in the process of being addressed.

Well even with sound, no the on-board sound isn't very good quality at all, but again, if you are shooting anything with any sort of real production value, you should be using an external mixer anyways..
