I just purchased some AB equipment and I need something (anything) to store it all - particularly the monolights. So I started looking around online for inexpensive padded light cases - which led me (eventually) to Linco and LincoStore.com - which appears to be the retail side of Britek.

---PAUSE STORY---

I recently sold a Steve Kaeser set of four spider-lights, stands, umbrellas, etc. When packing it up for the buyer, I realized all the umbrella bags had a big "Britek" logo on them. I checked and indeed SK is an official Britek reseller.

Having looked around this forum and online, Britek seems to sell lower quality Chinese equipment, and is not held in the highest regard. However these umbrellas - which I have to assume were in fact Britek units - were very decent quality and worked perfectly for the 2+ years I had and used them.

---RESUME STORY---

The prices at LincoStore.com are pretty low. Yes I know you get what you pay for and I ALWAYS try to buy American. At the same time, all I really need is a couple of padded cases and I can't find anything even remotely close to the case prices here:

http://www.lincostore.com/?Fs=fcProductList&Csn1=4&CsnA=393&Csn2=222&OM=,13,14,359,63,

(if the link doesn't work, just go to the root domain and click > Other Equipment > Carry Bag from the left nav.)

I went to Google Maps, down to the street level view, and the Linco/Britek address is just a typical large 2-story warehouse w/ front end office space.

I can't find Linco on any reseller ratings, Amazon, or anywhere else. But most of the reviews of Britek equipment on Amazon are positive - albeit generally not by professional photographers.

So, since I'm not buying electronics, I'm thinking about give it a try. Less than $100 for two padded large multi-light cases and two 42" light stand bags seems worth a shot.

What's your opinion?

Also - if anyone can point me to something in the same general price range from a more reputable seller, I would be grateful. American made would be even better.

Thanks...
