Fox Squirrel, seen at Brookgreen Gardens, SC (http://www.brookgreen.org). The unusual coloring seems to be peculiar to the Fox Squirrels seen in that region.

I'm in Charleston and they have this look here as well. There is a golf course in town that used to have huge numbers of these guys running around. They all disappeared for some reason, and now the course is paying something like $2500 per squirrel to try and reestablish the population. I'm considering a new career as a sqirrel wrangler. Nice shots, by the way!

Geez! I should have been scooping up the little fellas with a bag! LOL Probably some groundskeeper decided they were a nuisance and was poisoning them! $2500 a squirrel! That's a hoot!

Nice shots. Hmmm - $2500 each. Let's see, a couple of bags of grays squirrels and a bottle of Grecian Formula....money in the bag...
Where did I put that little comb?
