Just thought I'd share.

Went there last weekend and waited for the sunset before dinner with friends.

The wharf lights starting to light up while the sun disapeers, along with some strong colors seemed interesting.
What do you think?

Nice, looks like a bridge that goes nowhere. Where is this at?

This is not a bridge, but it sure is long, from that perspective.
It is a wharf in the south margin of the Tagus river in a place called Alcochete. It's on the opposite margin from Lisbon in Portugal.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice color.

Thanks guys!
I'm glad you liked it. The composition was a strugle for me. I ended up with a bunch of different angles, positions and zooms, but this one was the one that caught more of my interest.

Thanks for your comments.;)

Yup, I know it's a wharf, but it looks like a bridge to nowhere. It remind me of the time when I was much younger and working at my grandfather's construction company. He specialized in docks and wharves. Great shot.

Very nice colours captured. Nice feel. :) (to make it that 1% better to 100%, and be perfect, I would just straighten it a wee bit. ;))

And keep taking those good photos. :D

Amazing how that escaped me, it usualy bothers me a lot in any photo.
And it's not just a litle tilt...

Oh well, I'll have to straighten that and repost this evening...
Thanks a lot for telling me, Wazza. I even printed the #&%$ thing and didn't notice. Go figure...

Thanks a lot for your comments! ;)

Amazing colour capture. As mention, straighten it out and you've got a winner.

Thanks ajbalazic,

Just in case others don't know the lyrics, so that everyone can sing along :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::
Road to nowhere Album Little Creatures, by the Talking Heads (David Byrne)

WELL WE KNOW WHERE WE'RE GOIN'

BUT WE DON'T KNOW WHERE WE'VE BEEN

AND WE KNOW WHAT WE'RE KNOWIN'

BUT WE CAN'T SAY WHAT WE'VE SEEN

AND WE'RE NOT LITTLE CHILDREN

AND WE KNOW WHAT WE WANT

AND THE FUTURE IS CERTAIN

GIVE US TIME TO WORK IT OUT

We're on a road to nowhere

Come on inside

Takin' that ride to nowhere

We'll take that ride

I'm feelin' okay this mornin'

And you know,

We're on the road to paradise

Here we go, here we go

CHORUS

Maybe you wonder where you are

I don't care

Here is where time is on our side

Take you there...take you there

We're on a road to nowhere

We're on a road to nowhere

We're on a road to nowhere

There's a city in my mind

Come along and take that ride

and it's all right, baby, it's all right

And it's very far away

But it's growing day by day

And it's all right, baby, it's all right

They can tell you what to do

But they'll make a fool of you

And it's all right, baby, it's all right

We're on a road to nowhere

Thanks Marie,
The sky was great for this kind of photo, having the clouds required.

I thought of making a night shot also, catching the last tones of blue, but that would be another 15 minutes or so and the ladies were already starving and complaining, so we had to go to dinner. ;)

It's great to see a couple of Talking Heads fans here! That was the same song going through my mind when I saw the picture. :D
