View Full Version : Just a nice peaceful day in the rain...

This is the waterfall at Fairlie Glen.
A very relaxing area when it rains, since few people come here in bad weather.
The difficult part was setting up the tripod in the muddy, slippy conditions.

The 10D is not weather proof so I had to shelter the camera from the rain.
I'm considering the 1D MKII and therefore Scotlands lousy weather won't bother me so much. :)

Nothing special about this pic, I just haven't posted for a while.

Beautifully done, Cameron. Would you share metadata... particularly shutter speed?

Very nice.... Falling water and slow shutter speeds go together very well.

Indeed, and there was lots of falling water today.
Thanks for your nice comments.

I think the shot is very special, Cameron. A beautiful waterfall, well captured. Love it when you can get such long shutter speeds, as when it's raining.

Thanks, infeeneetee.

The reason for the umbella......to protect the camera and lens from the rain.

From original post.

Thanks, John.
It's a nice spot, although it can be a bit muddy and treacherous trying to get a good angle
for a shot of this waterfall at the top of the glen.
