Looks like it could be an HDR treatment.

In any case, it's enchanting -

Congratulations!

In general I like it, though the perspectives don't look quite right to me. The buildings look a little skewed.

True for me too... especially the building at right.

Separately, colours look good and I particularly like the long shadows.

The height of the building at right has dictated the horizon be half-way up the shot, so fair enough, even though the meat of the shot is definitely the lower half and it's not as engaging as it might be if that building weren't fully included and the details of the city loomed a bit larger in frame. Either way's a compromise.

All up, I imagine it's about as good as is possible from that vantage, which is definitely nice.

Cheers, Tony

I like the perspective, composition, and exposure. I think what makes the picture interesting is the diversity.

To the left, there's a body of water. In the midst of the buildings and traffic, there's a beautiful park. The evening light & the clouds are spectacular. I also like the contrast between the modern and the old buildings.

Congratulations! If you're not sure whether or not it's HDR, then it's a success. (The answer is that it is HDR but in this case I didn't want it to be obvious.) Thanks for the very kind words.

In general I like it, though the perspectives don't look quite right to me. The buildings look a little skewed. They are skewed a bit -- it was shot at 10mm, which inevitably causes distortion, but this was the best I could do in correcting the lens distortion. Any more correction in the building on the right and all the rest of the buildings were distorted more. So this was a compromise.

True for me too... especially the building at right.

I hadn't consciously considered where the horizon should be and I need to consider that more thoughtfully in crops in the future. But you're right for certain: I don't think I could have done better from that 15th floor window.

I also like the contrast between the modern and the old buildings. Thanks much for the comments. I was stunned by the long shadows and the striking clouds when I glanced out the window and only had a moment to get the camera out of the bag and shoot. I had a number of crop possibilities, including leaving out the river but decided that having all the elements in the shot was better.

Really nice work in regards to the HDR processing of the shot. It holds interest but still lets the eye wonder around just enough. Really nice work.

When did NJ become part of a maritime rain climate?

I like the comp (the way the eye is drawn into the image by the clouds and buildings). The HDR looks un-natural to me.

When did NJ become part of a maritime rain climate?Beats the heck outta me. This has been the weirdest spring we've ever had. Check out today's photo (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showpost.php?p=8170528&postcount=1)...

Seriously. I'm getting sick of all the rain. I want to get out and shoot, but every time I go out it starts pouring :(.

Seriously. I'm getting sick of all the rain. I want to get out and shoot, but every time I go out it starts pouring :(.I ended up today taking pictures of the rain (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showpost.php?p=8170528&postcount=1)... One decent day in the forecast for the next 10, and it's Thursday... a work day... I may shoot myself.
