I decided to try Zen after reading all the comments but I am having a problem. Its my understanding no doubt.

I can't seem to send a link to the folder or even my Zenfolio homepage.

I have copy and pasted several versions in Google to test it, looked at the format of others on here who link you to their Zen homepage but there is something I am missing.

There is a link with the folder number and I have tried that as well but to no avail. I simply want to be able to send the model a link to where all the pics are so she can check them out.

I have the basic account. Can anyone put this in simple terms for me? I have never not been able to copy and paste a link into an email or something similar.

Thank you.

If you're looking at a specific gallery or image, what do you see when you click on "Send Link" in the upper right hand corner of the screen?

You should get a window that lists urls to gallery and slideshow. And for individual images, you should also get a list of different sizes that can be linked.

This should help:

http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t54/sick06cobalt/Untitled-1.jpg

THEN:

http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t54/sick06cobalt/Untitled1.jpg

Do ctrl-c or command-c (if on a mac) and then go to where you want them and click ctrl-v or command-v (if on a mac) you should be set..

I think that is what you are asking..

Thanks guys for the advice and the great visual. I do get the "link" on the upper right corner and when I click it tries to send it via Outlook Express which I don't use and never have so I don't have it set up nor do I want to use it.

What I would like to do is just send the link to my Zen homepage and then the model can find her folder but it looks something like http://xxxxxx.zenfolio.com/home.aspx or the like. When I click and paste it in Google it does not find it at all.

To me just directing them to the homepage is better than individual pictures or folders on the homepage.

I can't access it currently but when I am able I will look at it again along with your suggestions. I am sure I am making it much more complicated than it is it would just seem you could send a URL to the homepage in any email.

^^^ Is there password protection involved in some way? ^^^

I wonder if that disables links? Maybe it's because it's a trial account?

Color me stumped... ???

Yes, this particular folder is password protected. There is nothing risque there I just decided to give only the model the password to review the entire shoot then later pull a few for pubic view.

I would still think even though that particular folder is password protected you should still be able to link to the homepage itself right?

It is listed under MikeThomasPhotography if you search.

Thanks again for your help. I would rather send her (and futures) a link rather than say ok......go to Zen.....then do this search.....yada yada yada.

BTW, its not a trial account it is the basic or whatever the nominal one is like $25.00 per year. I did the trial and it was ok and am trying this for now before I decide if I want to upgrade any further.
