Taken with my XTi(broke my 30D just days before) and a borrowed 70-300.

Nice image very sharp on the plane I wish you had a little shallower depth of field so my eye didn't get pulled away from the plane. Possibly a tighter crop would help.

+1 for the crop. I don't personally feel that the length of the Audi cones are doing anything positive for the image, since the focus is on the plane.
Great job getting the plane in sharp focus!

Thanks, I will try that and the plane was very close to the building and I was shooting wide open so I could not get a shallower DOF.

I also only had a 300mm lens, and this is already cropped enough to make a good size 8X10.

Straightened and another 8x10 crop.

Lol.I did that one as well.but still didn't like the towers taking the spotlight( plus they are OOF and blurry) so I changed up the crop orientation, putting the plane front and center?

Good point, I think I need to brush up on my cropping and composition.

I saw that, those are really good, damn it'd be nice to have a 100-400. I think I should have used a faster shutter speed and would still get prop blur. Oh well there's always next year.

The plane is nice and sharp. Nice capture. I would prefer less DoF as well.

good shot - less DOF too. One way to do this in post process is to blurr the background slightly and maybe even desaturate it slightly to make it less noticable.

I like the shot, the crop is better. Great job catching the plane.
My only concern is a lack of reference for size. This could easily be a model plane.
