Cute kid! The one thing that I see is the highlights are over exposed. Do you look at the historgrams? I have found that my shots have become much better since using it. Keep at it and send us some more pictures of the kid.

You're right, but it's an OK shot anyway. The histogram would have caused the face to be underexposed in this case.

You can never get the lost highlights back. When you under expose at least you can help it in post edit.
