Bahamas Overcast Sunrise revisited

Hi folks! I posted this a while back during my trip to the Bahamas and I thought I would re-edit it with my current workflow. C&C appreciated. Thanks!

P.S. This is shot with the 5D MK I, 17-40 L, 2 stop GND.

that is a heavy picture! everything in this picture is perfect to me (exposure, detail etc.) but i'm not sure about the amount of rocks in the foreground, and think the image would be more peacefull if you included some more water. :)

This photo pretty much takes my breath away! It is SO beautiful, I love that you were able to retain the colors of the rocks. Very nice!

I love this image. But I agree with wouter88; I might try cropping out about half the rocks in the foreground. There seems to be a natural line there. It might make this image less "heavy" and may enhance it greatly. Give it a try; if you don't like it, no worries.

But it is a very nice shot. I have to get me a GND filter. That water looks absolutely serene and peaceful. Great capture!

I actually like it with this much foreground. The rest of the sky at the time was pretty overcast and uninteresting. A couple of things I corrected in the photo was the lens distortion. It was really curvy and corrected with PS. I also used some dodging in the foreground to bring out the detail in the rocks. That's pretty much it. :) Thanks for stopping in. :)

Ty Eric for your comments. I'm gonna leave it as is. GNDs are real fun to use when doing landscapes. :)
