Okay this is my dilemma. For mothers day I want to get one of my pictures printed up and framed for my mom, but I can't decide between 2 of my pictures. Both of these are from her garden, for some reason I shot jpeg rather than raw. The pink flowers I think has a better background, but I underexposed the bottom left. The blue flowers just have a boring brown background (mulch). Which do you think would be better?

I would go with the second one, the first is too soft. I think it would look great if you went B&W on the background and just left the flowers (and the leaves etc) in color.

I actually went soft on purpose, just seemed like they would look better like that to me for some reason. The black and white background could look great but I'm afraid I'm not much of a photoshop guru. If I get some decent weather I'm gonna go back out and try again, shooting in raw mode and wishing I have a macro lens.

Sorry, I don't care for number 1 at all. Number 2 jumps at me a bit too much. But number 2 is better than number 1.
