3-shot handheld HDR. What do you think?

Handheld? You did a great job! I would just tweak the horizon a few degrees.
Otherwise, I really like the photo, especially the sand patterns in the foreground.

Agree about the tweak, but I also like the composition on this one.

By "tweak", do you mean rotate the image? If so, I did but maybe not enough. It was hard to grab a horizontal reference.

Oh, sorry, yes, that's what I meant.

I love the clouds, and yes the horizon looks skewed even if it isnt. Ive had this same trouble at the coast trying to find a level look with the reflections from the water at an angle across the frame, or the beach recending into the distance (as in this case) it tricks the eye into thinking its not level.

Hdr looks great, but (and this may be just me) it looks like it doesn't have enough objects in there for me to look at. If it just had the log (or whatever that is) in the forgroung along with sky and the beach, I could appreciate the simplicity of it. However, the houses on the far right make me feel like it's not a simplistic photo and I want to see more. Maybe just crop out the homes.
