I’ve had the Epson P-2000 for a week or two and created several albums with pictures I have stored on my PC. Most display fine but there are some that will not display. The thumbnail is there but when I try to display it I get this message “This photo cannot be displayed. It may be corrupted or unsupported”. I have also seen an error stating the picture may be too large to display. These were all shot as jpg’s and have had some processing in Photoshop and then saved as jpg’s. Some were shot using a Sony F717 and some with the 20D.

When the P-2000 arrived, the first thing I did was to updated the firmware to version 02.02. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong.

I can't help with your problem, but I was wondering where you were able to find a P-2000? Everyone seems to be out-of-stock.

I had a problem similar to this a couple of days ago - sudenly my P2000 started acting 'weird', not displaying files or playing videos - showing them as unrecognized formats on the menu. After a while it prompted me to use the reset button - I did and everything worked fine then and since.

Mine is also at 2.02.

fdlflyer - I happen to check the Epson store a couple of weeks ago and they were showing them in stock. A day or two later they were out again

Wow, i was thinking about updating the firmware, might hold off for a while.

Actually the reason why i didn't do it because i couldn't figure out the button configuration to initiate the flashing sequence hehe :D .

I took your advice, but first deleted all the albums I had and then did the reset. But it didn't help. The same pictures do not display. Guess I'll have to call Epson support.

I'm going to visit friends this weekend and wanted to share some of my work.

Here's a few links to pictures that will not display.

Epson Support got back to me.

I had saved some as progressive jpegs.

The P-2000 does not support that format. Something to keep in mind.
