I just got this bag (Lowepro Omni Pro) for my system and everything was great with it before I got the grip.
I really love the bag and the way I can carry everything I have in one case. However take a look at the images and notice how the camera sticks up over the top of the bag and the buldge in the bag it creates when closed.
Would you still use this bag or look for something else?

Hmmm. I'd be a little concerned, but the top of the camera should be pretty strong. So long as you're careful I might keep it, but if others will be handling your case i'd consider using something else - maybe a hard case.

I think if you can manage your bag a bit better you coyuld take the grip off. Take out things in there that you dont really need or just move everything closer. Try to put the grip in a spot of its own. Just a thought.

I don't think I want the grip off the camera, would prefer to just leave it on at all times.
Thinking about getting the Pelican 1152 case that this bag supposebly fits inside.

Yes, I would definitely have several concerns. :(

Anybody have any suggestions for a bag that can hold all my stuff, including the 20D w/ Grip?

I'd be concerned as any impact is going to be taken by the camera. Aside from the padding there is no dead space to absorb impacts. The Pelican idea may not work either as the assumption that that bag fits in it may not include large bulges in the bag.

How about storing the camera with no lens mounted so it will lie flat? Personally I always keep a lens on but if you are that set on using that bag you will need to compromise.

I have the Lowepro Pro Mag 2 AW which is very roomy, and tall enough to hold my 20D with 70-200 f/4 attached in the lens-down position--I don't own the grip, but in this configuration it should take yours without any problems. You might want to take a look at it.

have you tried putting in the camera "vertically", i.e., CF card door faces up, thus your grip will be to the right instead of at the bottom? just a thought, it may not work though if your bag isn't deep enough.
