In Maggie Valley, NC, there is a "museum" of antique vehicles. Out front is this very old firetruck that has obviously seen better days. I wanted to learn how old it is, but there was no one around to ask.

I'd put it at about 1954-55-56 vintage, but haven't determined teh make. Possible International though.

I hope someone intends to restore it. It looks like that could be a very nice looking truck with some work.

My guess would be early 50's maybe an American LeFrance. Nice shot. have you googled 'Old Firetrucks' to see what you'd get

This truck is a 1952 Oren that formerly served with Wanaque New Jersey Fire Dept. It was known as "Engine 1" and was pictured on all the literature & brochures Oren Fire Apparatus sent out in 1952. They sold it when they got a newer truck and somehow it ended up here in my neck of the woods. It's a really neat old truck, but it doesn't look like anyone's planning to restore it. It just sits out there in front of Wheels Through Time on Highway 19/Soco Rd. Hope this info helps!
