Thought I'd try my hand at some archetectural shots of old buildings in the countryside today. Usually I do sports, this is really my first attempt.

Anyway, the first shot is of a window in an abandoned farm house I found. God know's how long the plant was there. Kinda eeery!

So, while I'm taking the window shot I hear a hissing noise from another window. I guess I was intruding without knowing it - so, I quietly left Rocky to his home.

Hmmmm .. the pictures are a bit too big for web viewing. I love the first one. Pretty sharp.

I used a 10D. Think I had a sigma 70 - 200 mm EX lens on at the time. That's for both shots. And yes, the raccoon hissed the whole time I was there.

Interesting shots, I really like the subtle colours (colors) in the first one. One small thing, If the first one is a crop, try it again but include the top of the brick arch above the window.N

Nah, I think I'm referring to Rocky Racoon from the Beetles song. *s*

I would've loved to cropped it differently, but unfortunately missing the arch was the way I shot it... maybe next time I'll get out of the van! *s*
