Hi folks,
I didn't see a comparison on this in the previous pages (or maybe I was just lazy to look even further :D). I was pondering on purchasing one of the above mentioned lenses I figured I'd ask you guys first on what you think about them before I do.
Appreciate your comments on them.
Thanks in advance.

The Tamron's a great lens, it stays on my camera 90% of the time. There are plenty of reviews of it around. Haven't used the sigma or read much about it.

My wife has the Tamron and loves it. Check out this site (http://www.pbase.com/fstopjojo/shootout)for a comparson.

I'm a very happy owner of the Tamron 28-75mm. Fast. Sharp. Light.
For what it's worth. :-)

Hi Myke,
it's incredible what a search with the keywords 'Tamron Sigma' can bring to the light of day
Of course, it will bring you a lot of threads (> 100).
You might do the search yourself to get as much information as you wish, but according to my opinion these are the threads that might be most informative for you:

I am very happy with my Tamron 28-75/2.8 XR DI.
Hope that helps :D
Skip ... that's a pretty cool comparison! Thanks for the link.
I find the Bokeh comparison especially interesting - to me the Tamron seems to have the most pleasing bokeh (lucky me  ). Too bad the Canon 24-70/2.8 L was not included in the test.
Best regards,
Andy

Thanks guys, appreciate the replies. :) I was doing the manual search till I realize there was a search function... (okay, okay, no more coffee during odd hours for me) hehehe. :D
From the looks of things, there's a lot of people here that use the Tamron. It must be that good. :D Wish me luck as I go through this, I have to decide soon, I've got a need for it soon and practice using the lens is a must. :)
I'll let you know what I'll end up with.
Thank you all.

Looks like I'm going to be making a compromise here. I checked around, support with the Tamron is close to non-existent here. I'm going to look it up some more though, but right now, I'm leaning more towards the Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 EX DG. I'll try to post some images as soon as I finish playing with it. :)
