Anyone from Michigan planning on attending this years Hydroplane APBA Gold-Cup Race weekend coming up July 10th on the Detroit River? I've got my tickets for the weekend and plan to be there...

I'm going Saturday. I'll be on Belle Isle for free. Last year there was hardly anyone on Belle Isle.Some shots taken from Belle Isle last year.

Sad to say, but it wasn't a Mad House, either Saturday or Sunday. I shot from various points along the course from Roostertail, to the Judges' Stand, to Henderson Park, on both days. Parking & traffic was simple..

A friend that went down there told me the same thing. She said the area was almost empty. I think she/they were on the pier on Belle Isle.
