Hi everyone,

If I select the navigation type multiarea, it does not do anything. Any way to fix that? it's version 1.5 RC4.

BTW, I tried removing the exif and saving the image with "save for the web" and still the multiarea navigation does not work. It was working with 1.5 RC2 no matter what the image, so that's wierd. it's a different hosting service but both should be on Linux..any hint?

thanks

Hey daniella...it's sometimes crazy around here and things slip through.

I did a search through the 'Exhibit Engine Support' section on "multi area." I found this thread:

http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=48394&highlight=multi+area

And, specifically, this is what was said:

Make sure you have set misc setting: "When image file is not found" to 3. Use EE's substitute error image for main photos only (normal performance), because EE needs that setting (or setting 2) for multiarea to work. Multiarea navigation is coded with image map which is standard html code and will work on every browser regardless of Javascript.

Area ALT texts do not show on Firefox, don't know yet why. It is a REQUIRED notation (see http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/struct/objects.html#h-13.6 ) so maybe Firefox has a bug there.

I have set multiarea navigation on in my gallery, try it in http://photography-on-the.net/gallery/photo.php?photo=210&u=2700|4

I tested this on my own EE, and it worked. Maybe it'll work on yours?

I did not get any reply to my question..was it a dumb question or what? I don't understand.

It wasn't a dumb question. Let us know if the above works; something else might have to be tried if it doesn't.

Good luck! :)
