photo's only load half way

I'm probably in the wrong place to ask this question. But when I look at photo's they only load half way then stop. It just started doing this.

Can someone tell me what I can do maybe to fix this problem?
I hit the refresh and still only loads them half way.

I'm with AOL and they can't seem to help me with this problem so thought I would ask here maybe someone else has had this problem before.
I would appreciate any help. Thanks Gail,

Does the browser then show a red x instead? If yes then try to right click on it on select show picture (it wont solve the reason but maybe You can then at least see the photos).

Hmm, a couple of questions:

Are you on dialup?

The pictures in question are they user posted pictures on this forum, from a particular web site, or in your web gallery? (I like the old house with the flowers in front from your gallery btw.)

Sometimes with dialup web pages can load slow, or pause as in loading as other web page content loads. Right clicking and selecting show picture can sometimes help this.

Are you using AOL's web browser or Internet Explorer?

Yes, I'm dialup with AOL web browser. when user posted pictures here on the forum. And them some times it will show the red x. I can go to my web gallery and all loads fine.

Sometimes AOL's web browser can be a little strange, my wife still likes using AOL but for web content (AOL non exclusive content.) I tell her she is better off to use another browser. (She was using IE, but I have since made her switch to Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/) which I like better.)

The only other things I can think of off hand are that for some reason AOL is blocking the site that some people host their pictures on, (It's been a while, I think some of these settings can be changed in the parental controls type areas.)

Or that as I said earlier the picture loading gets paused half way because AOL is loading other web data at the time.

On a page with pictures that don't load you can try copying the url from above and pasting it into another web browser to see if it loads there. (If you minimize AOL without closing it you will still be connected to the net and able to use another web browser.)

Maybe some of the hosts timeout on the slow dialup and the AOL stuff.
Try another browser like Firefox or Opera.
The pictures you are talking about in your own gallery is probably already in the cache, so it will not
load again everytime you visit the gallery.
Try to emty your internet cache and cookies.
Just my few cents.

Thanks you'll I think I got it fixed, I went to web preferences, and unchecked compress graphics to "only compress graphics only when I do not have broadband connection".
