Here's a another vacation shot, from last week, that I want to share. It's a painted water can on top of a house boat in Camden Lock near London, UK:

It was taken with my 20D w/70-200L f/4 lens & Hoya Super HMC Pro1 UV filter, in manual mode, f/5.6, ISO@800, 1/640 sec.

hope you enjoyed england narrow boats are one of my favorite subjects and the detail and colours are just spot on if you look at the rose on the can you will see that it is not painted as a rose but as swirrls that look like a rose this is a specialised form of art on the boat should be some chequered painted areas a painted castle and some single roses

I'll tell you, it's hard getting shots like this when you're with your family! LOL Especially when you're used to walking around at a leisurely pace by yourself.

There's nothing more rewarding (besides winning the lottery!) than getting results like this and being able to share it. Thanks for all of your comments.

I got this one on a trip to Birmingham. They are very colourful and make a good photo.

I love the colors, so vibrant. I know these were taken in UK, but the design looks a bit like US SouthWestern.

I agree, it does remind you of either from the US SouthWest or even from the Amish.
