Taken at Fuenta del Piedra, Spain, the only place in Europe they breed. This is as close as I could get, thank heavens for the 400mm! They're not bright pink yet because the shrimps they feed on havn't 'bloomed'.

The hard bit was getting them to all shake thier legs at the same time :lol:

Pretty cool! It's interesting the way they walk. Bringing their legs all the way up to their bodies like that.

Great shot, never saw them in the wild but I always get a few photos of them at the zoo. Often wondered how they keep zoo Flamingos pink, do they feed them shrimp or food with colour additives ? ?
