Do you think that something like this could work for promoting myself? I'm still in my first year of school so I'm not real sure how much work I actually want...or can handle for that matter! We haven't learned lighting or posing yet...comments are needed! thanks:)

As cute as the little girl is in the large photo, I wouldn't put her again in the upper left.
An additional blurb on your services would be helpful as well...not that I know anything about advertising. LOL
Your images do a good job of conveying your target market however.
Good Luck!

Your page looks great. Being a mom with lots of mom friends, I'll tell you that a large number of moms do not want their child's name (even first name alone) on a photo of their child that is out in the public. would you mind sharing how youd did the edge of your photos on the page?
thanks,
Pam

I think this is terrific! This would be head and shoulders above the the advertisements in our yellow pages. I would lose the childrens names though and emphasize your own a little more. Well done.

That design and images look very good. I just don't really like the font. No name of the girl, and maybe make your name and number larger, and bolder. And I'm guessing you'll put down with it, what type of photography you're into? Such as portrait, and not commercial.

1st year and you're already producing good results? Well done. I'm only 3 months with my own Digital SLR. Just love it.

Wow I really like the large pic ofthe girl. The BW with the soft colors looks really really good IMO.

The whites in the large picture are not as white as those in the little upper left image which bothers my eye. Also, I can't tell if you desaturated the large image but it looks a little odd. I really like the overall look but you didn't say if this would be used as printwork to hand out or a webpage or what and that makes it a little hard to give criticism. I'd also think that perhaps this isn't the best forum here to get this type of feedback ... I think there is a Pro and a Criticism section. Finally, I would suggest that in the long run it is going to be YOU who sells you so you need to network, network, network!
