I have a Nikon modulite wireless remote from a previous system which was great upto aboy 100m on a 301. As I see it , all it did was bridge a contact to close the circuit and fire the camera. With a modified cable into the 20 D socket would it work ? would it wreck it -- has anyone tried it ?? Canon LC4 look remarkably similar but £300 !! any thoughts would be welcome

The LC4 is a multifunction two stage remote. Thats a little more complicated than just closing a circuit. Also, the nik0n remotes don't seem to mention the two stage function (half pressing the shutter) and the plugs look very different. I'd be suprised if they worked.

Personally I'm just glad my 300D can use the $25 RC-1 wireless remote.
