Scratch On Point and Shoot Lens

I've got a small scratch on the lens of my point and shoot, but when I look at the images, I can't seem to find it. Am I not looking hard enough, or do scratches on a lens not show up?

I believe that it would have to be a very serious scratch to show up in the images.

You're not likely to see a lens scratch; even sensor dust needs a fairly small aperture to show up. Depth of field saves you from seeing the small nicks and so on.
