All-
Ive recently become interested in adding a beauty dish to my budding studio kit. I currently shoot with Sunpak MPP 800's with umbrellas. My question is about adding accessories to my set up. I know its probably a novice question, and I hope youll humor me but Im confused on what I will need to do in order to have a dish, seems that Sunpak doesnt make one. Can I use one from a different company? Are they adaptable? Will this monolight work, or will i need to buy/acquire a different one?
Again I apologize for the novice question. I live overseas, and dont have access to quality suppliers for me to go take a look...
Thanks!

If I know what type of (Mount) (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?ci=0&shs=adapter+insert&sb=ps&pn=1&sq=desc&InitialSearch=yes&O=jsp%2Fproductlist.jsp&A=search&Q=*&bhs=t&Go.x=0&Go.y=0&Go=submit) your Strobes take I can make it work with my (Beauty Reflector) (http://www.kaceyenterprises.com/?page_id=461)
If your lighting changes in the future you can just replace the mount on the Reflector and not purchase a whole new modifier
You would need to purchase the Reflector, Optional Diffuser, and correct insert mount.
Overseas shipping is not a problem. Best price I get through USPS

I think that is kinda the problem. I cant seem to find any adaptors or speed rings for this monolight... Im sorry if Im lost on this but it doesnt make sense to me that i cant expand to at least all the standard configurations.

Kacey, I really like your beauty dish design with the Speedlight Bracket, but I have a question. Have you thought of an accessory for moving the "second" hot shoe for the Pocket Wizard "farther away" from the flash. I have the PW Flex units, and I want to move them about 2 feet away from a 580 EX II (the radio noise issue). Do you know of an adapter that can be used with your existing bracket, or better yet a version of your bracket that moves the "other' hot shoe MUCH farther away, ideally moved 2 feet ABOVE the flash unit and beauty dish.
Would love to hear from you on this... about to order the combo but worried I will still run into issues with my PW Flex and 580 EX II.

I have had several people order the Dish/Bracket and that is one of the things they praised was the bracket solved the interference issue for them using the off flash wire and choke. They said I should just market the bracket for that... LOL If you want it 2 ft away I would suggest mounting the wizard to the stand. this would protect the wizard more in the event of having the stand fall over on location than having it 2 ft above or to the side.

I've been tempted to modify one of those cheap "one size fits all" speed rings so it would attach by means of an umbrella mount. I think you could make a sturdy, functional speed ring that way.

When designing the bracket I found just mounting a Umbrella bracket to a speedring like many of the competitors brackets on the market prevent vertical adjustment of the modifier. Our bracket works as a short boom arm and allows plenty of downward adjustment. First thing I had to do years ago when I purchased a Alien Bee BD was purchase a boom arm just so I could use it. I've tried to make this system as well thought out as possible.
