I have read all about it on Adobe's site, but am still wondering if anyone knows a little more about it?

Any Members? If so, anyone willing to sponsor me?

not quite ;)

The mission of the Adobe Photographers Directory is to create a comprehensive listing of professional photographers from around the world, and we are just now starting this process. Rather than opening up the directory to anyone who wants to go through the registration process, Adobe has decided to initially work with the key professional associations that vet members as part of their process. Adobe is aware that there are many photographers who are not members of a professional association; therefore we will also be working with the industry to find ways to create a directory that truly reflects the composition of the professional photography community.

Rough translation,
It is for the stuffed shirts in the community.

Because of the type of shots I take for money, I apparently don't qualify for anything but associate membership (meaning non-voting) in any of the Regional or National "Professional" organizations in the US.
Apparently I have to shoot for someone else, not shoot and hope they buy it.

The one exception where true freelance/artistic work is accepted is for photojournalists, which is not something I have done yet. So still out of luck there.

Apparently I have to shoot at least three weddings or for-hire contracts at a minimum to qualify. I am not likely to get 3 weddings in as if I get even one, I plan on doubling my rates for the next. I am available for hire, but no luck so far. In the meantime, I seem to be making some money (not sure fully how much yet) off the pictures I have been taking.

So no listing for me on Adobe's photographer's page. I prefer One Model Place anyway, more of my type of photographer's and the people more likely to hire me are there already.
