Maybe I'm just crazy, but if his family was really worried (which they sure as hell should have been), couldn't someone have just unplugged the thing? Sure he might have gone into a psychotic rage, but at least he would have gotten some excersize.

I just sent the publication an e-mail to check on it. It sounds fake, but what are the odds of a last name like Wanamaker and the correct town showing up in a satire piece.
