From the wedding I shot on Saturday. One of my favorite shots I have ever taken! :D Yes it is a real tattoo!

It's interesting to me that when the woman looks at it, it's upside down. I wonder how much time was spent determining the orientation.

I agree.. I was also wondering how she decided on the orientation... didn't ask though ;)

Simply a WAG on my part but...
Traditionally, a woman wears a ring so that it is right side up when she offers her hand palm down to be kissed. A man wears it so that it is right side up when he presents a fist made with the palm up.
I suspect this bride had the tat done following the female palm down orientation so that if she rolls her hand over, the tat is correctly oriented to the viewer.
Like I said, simply a WAG...

well thats not too bad... pretty small and will be very easily covered up in a few years if things fall apart.
you know there is a superstition that trouble soon follows putting anothers name on you. truth.
I've had 3 friends make this mistake and have to get a larger tattoo to cover up.

I think it's sad that this had to be said. Not your fault InnerSong, just a byproduct of the culture we live in. I'm gonna pretend that this one will make it. Makes me feel better ;)
Edit: Erik - I really like the shot! Very nice

I just shot a wedding where the bride had a partially removed tattoo on her shoulder. It was from "another flame" from years past. She's paying me extra to photoshop it out of all photos.

I have a very strong feeling this couple won't be parting ways :) No tattoo removal needed!
