Last night I was shooting a wedding at the Trophy Club Golf Course near Fort Worth, TX. The bride came over as I was shooting some candids of the kids on the dance floor and let me know that she was about to begin the garter/bouquet tossing. So, I fixed on my wide angle as I usually do, got some shots as the groom took off the garter. Then, she tossed the flowers. I looked down at the LCD to see if I got the flowers in mid air or not, and maybe looked down for 7 seconds, if that. Next thing I know, I feel a tap on my shoulder. I looked over and the garter was right there... the groom flung it and it landed on my shoulder. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry that I missed the shot. Then I looked around and everyone was laughing. So, I guess it all worked out :)
