If it were my photo, I'd crop this much tighter, just showing the lens, the reflection and a bit of the frame. The background here, does nothing to add to the picture. Otherwise I like the photo.

This is neat but I agree with gmaize, crop it and I think it would be better.

I agree on the crop. Plus, the yellow in the background draws my eye away from the sunglasses.
On a more esoteric level, having a reflection of something more exotic would bring more interest to the photo. For example, the beach. I realize, however, that is not always possible.

can someone try cropping it and uploading it again? i want to see how you would do it. actually, i liked the background, but if someone things he/she can make it better, please go ahead and try.

Yes crop and if you can use PS and fix the yellow. And you will have a great picture...

Here's my shot at it. I also took the liberty to play with the hues (blues and magentas) and saturation, to bring out the colors in the reflection. Now what I focus on is the image in the reflection (which I think is where the story of this photo is told) rather than the backgound. Anybody else want to take a try at this?

yeah - that crop takes it a little too far... my issue as someone noted before is the yellow object that really draws attention away - perhaps it could be just toned down a bit. And of course, something more interesting as the reflection would help - but that is just personal preferences.

when you took this, set aperture as small as you could with tripod, may show it different.

Without spending too much time talking about the aesthetics, I did want to complement you on not taking a photo of yourself in the reflection. Well done.
