The toes on the Titmice are awsome, they look like Medieval Gauntlets.

These are all simply beautiful. Very nice work, birds are tough subjects.

The first one has everything I look for in a bird shot. Well done.

These are excellent bird shots. We often forget how attractive the "common" sparrow really is.
The background on #2 leaves a bit to desired whereas it is superb in #1. And do tell us about the lens used etc.

The first bird looks a bit like the ones that hop on my feeder for about 3/4 of a second to get a seed, then hide in the branches while they eat it. I can't imagine getting two clear shots like those! Awesome!

Wonderful shots!

I love those Tufted Titmice! They are one of my absolute favorites,. just the cutest little things! They look more like a Disney character than a real life species ;) (whoever named them was a genius!)

Dan, einsteinsauntie, Paul, Solo175, Frank, Jaime, foxbat, rbuttrum, tupe, LazyP, skade, CDS, cfcRebel and dedalus-6 ... thank you very much!

For those who inquired, the lens used was the 400/5.6L.

PS When are we going to get some good weather?

August ... perhaps :)

We often forget how attractive the "common" sparrow really is.

I agree. My feeder is attracting a variety of sparrows, and many of them are really quite pretty. I've developed a whole new respect for them. Starlings on the other hand ... could do without them.
