Is B-H or any other stores selling the repaired, updated version?
Is it available from Canon or are they going to just continue to sell the faulty ones then fix them when they get sent back?

I've been asking this same question on the sticky. No answer yet :(

I believe the grip actually has two separate issues going on. One being the problem of the number of shots being limited by a low battery warning and the other issue of physically flexing and power interuption causing the camera to go into error.
From what I've read on different boards folks that send their grips in for both problems are getting grips back that only have the low battery warning problem repaired, but not the intermitent connection problem due to flexing.
I suspect if any vendors are selling fixed grips, it may only be the battery warning repair and not the other problem. It would be interesting to call or email Canon support and see how they respond to the question of vendors having updated grips and is there a fix for the flex problem near at hand.

I recently got a whole new grip from Canon Service to replace mine that had the flexing problem (they couldnt fix it).
Well, this new grip STILL has the same problem.
