Lexar firewire (purple) CF reader problem

I have been using my purple Lexar firewire CF card reader (RW001 Rev B) for a while without a problem. I have Lexar CF cards, 125 and 250MB and a 1GB Ridata Pro 52X and it reads them fine. Recently, I bought a Ridata Pro2 2GB 80X but my Lexar CF reader won't read it. I am using Mac OS X.3.9 and will soon upgrade to Tiger. Any one here experienced the same problem? Could it be reader incompatibility? Help! :(

Can you use the card OK in camera? Have you tried downloading from the camera using EVU?

If your other cards are alright, then I would think it might be the new card. There are a few threads about Lexar cards here, mentioning problems. I don't use them myself, so can't comment.
