430ex not firing, but appears to be working otherwise

My 2 year old 430ex stopped firing during a photoshoot today. It powers on and appears normal. The red light comes on, but I can't get it to fire. I've tried taking the batteries out, taking it off my camera (5D), firing it from the camera and from that pilot button. No go.

Any ideas? Is it just totally fried? Any chance the bulb went out? Suggestions? Guess that's what I get for talking about upgrading to a 580exII (just mentioned it on facebook today...jeesh). ;)

I just did a few more searches and found other have had this problem. Disregard this post as it seems I either blew the blub or fried something. Guess I'll be calling Canon in the morning.
