Actually the first wedding I took pictures for was for a childhood friend. I was his bestman, he already hired a photographer, but he liked my free pictures better.
Needless to say another mutual friend saw my work and asked me to shoot their wedding. They flew me out to vegas with a friend (and second shooter), took care of my food, car, and hotel and also offered compensation in addition to the free trip.
I had alot of things going against me. It was Vegas, unfamiliar territory, I only have prime lenses and one body, I picked up a flash at everyones recommendation (though I strongly prefer natural light) but Adorama lost my diffuser shipment so I had a flash with no soft light, and last but not least I've never coordinated photos at a wedding.
I have a serious newfound resepct for wedding photogs. I was on my feet from 9AM - 11PM, only ate one meal and had about 3 redbulls and some diet coke. How do you find time to shoot everything yet take a break?
Hopefully they'll be happy with what I've shot :) I don't think I can handle the stress of another wedding...

Few snippets, most of the shots did turn out fine, I'm only through editing about 25% of the photos. I shot 1400. My friend shot 900. Critiques are a must.
