Your wife is very attractive. A little fill light/reflected light would have helped the first image. The right side of her face is a little too dark and the focus point seems to be on the gun (not her eyes). The second shot also could use some more light, but I'd like to see all of her arms in the shot as opposed to cropping them at the elbows... Pose is nice.
For a glamour shot, your wife's hair should be a little neater. Thanks for sharing. Perhaps your lovely lady will let you try again...

Very nice wife with good expression.

But on the second i think you are too near the model while on the first the focus is on the gun instead on her eyes.

If on the first the focus on the gun was a your choice i think will be better on the model she is too cute for not to pay more attention on the shoot.

thank you for the pointers. i had this one, but personally preferred the other. editing the wife is very hard, as i like almost all of them, and it's hard to be critical..lol

I like this last shot more than the first two. Pose works better for me. She is still a bit orange, but should be easily corrected in pp. Have you any programs for working with pics? I think you've still missed the focus on her eyes... it's better, but still a little soft. You don't suggest which camera you're using, but you can set many to centre point focus--then focus on her eyes before composing your shot. Thanks for sharing again.

thanks. i am using a 500d and am getting used to elements 6.0. i haven't done many indoor shoots before like this, and was more than a little stuck for light. i am using a spotlamp type light(and kept it in some shots as i felt it better to be raw and look it, than to be raw and pretend i was doing more than i could)..i am looking into a remote lighting set-up, just a couple umbrellas etc..
i am working hard to improve my work, and thankfully my wife is a good sport.there are many more of the shots on flickr. here was another i liked alot.

Edit: (going for the smoky look; can't quite pull it off at this resolution)

Reminds me of my wife a bit -- Sneaky pretty, the longer you look, the better. I think that if she'd pose a bit for you, she'd be a nice model.

BTW, kudos to her for posing.

My wife won't do it anymore.

Nice the third. I prefer the original more red.

On the last i think the pose isn't good because part of the problem depends on the dress that is not suitable for certain pose.

See the third shoot.
Very nice, sensual.
See the fourth shoot.
The same dress with different pose don't always is good.

Love the pose on the third shot. Are you using a tripod at all? Your exposure was quite long, perhaps up the ISO/open the aperture (if possible) to get a faster speed?

yes, some were shot on tripod with a remote (rc1). others weren't. i could up the iso some, but the faster shutter speeds at this iso setting were coming too dark..
the main thing i learned this shoot was that i need more light (s) for this type of endeavor.lol
thanks for the input.
