View Full Version : Just got my new Sigma 70-300 4-5.6 APO macro

Just got the new lens home afrter taking a few shots on the way home.
My first impressions are:D much much sharper than that poxi Canon70-300 USM lens I had before. Part exchanged the Canon Telephoto and a Sigma 35-135 zoom at Park Camera's in Haywards Heath Sussex. Great customer service as always and let me try it out before I took the plunge.
I did try an older version of this lens in there second hand selection, but just kept getting ERR99 :rolleyes: . The lens with the orange band will not work with the 20d, Rebel,300 or 350. It does however work on a 1D ???

Great choice. I got hold of this lens recently too and I'm loving it. Have fun! :)

I'll be interested to see how yours performs at 300mm.
Mine is outstanding at 200mm but really quite bad towards 300mm
